Reviews on petco and petsmart training classes? hi, i'm getting a puppy soon and want to put him into training classes at either petsmart or petco. from your experiences, please tell me what you thought of your training classes at petco/petsmart.. I did 2 petco classes (puppy 1, and puppy 2) with my australian cattle dog, they were great. they focus on positive reinforcement, and they also work more on training you to train the dog, not necessarily training the dog itself in class. if i remember correctly, this is what they covered.. I'm not sure how petco's training is, but i do believe our stores have very similar programs. honestly, the training you get is typically very dependent on the training you are looking for and the trainer you get. the training for ps is a 2 week program spent doing book work and shadowing an "area" trainer that teaches all trainers in the district..
