Crate Training Vs Playpen

Playpens vs. crates. a playpen is a place where your puppy can play and do some stretching. it has a lot more room than a crate which means he will be able to walk, lie down, and play in it. often, it also offers more visibility. a playpen can be placed indoors and outdoors. usually, it’s portable and made of wires or plastic.. A playpen has an enclosure, which is like a fence. it has more room than a crate. think about your home and the fence around your home – it is basically the same concept. a dog crate on the other hand is a mini-home where your dog can rest or sleep. a dog crate will usually have a door, dog mat or a soft cozy bed inside it.. When choosing a dog crate, make sure it’s large enough for your pup to walk in, turn around and lie down. a dog pen, like the frisco dog exercise pen with step-through door, is more like a child’s playpen and generally is larger than a dog crate. unless you have a giant breed dog, most pens are large enough to contain the animal..

Crate vs playpen when leaving puppy alone sorry for asking yet another potty training related question, i just wanna set my little guy up for success during his training and such. anyway, he's only 10 weeks old and i was wondering where would be best to keep him whilst i'm at work?. We began crate training my yorkie when we first got him at 8 weeks, but he cried alot. so we got him a baby playpen with a pee pad that we placed in it. he never actually completed his crate training so he still has the occasional accident. he's only in the playpen at night, from 8am to 5pm when we are at work, and he's out the rest of the time until he goes to bed at 10pm..
