The time it takes to crate train a dog can be anywhere from one day to one month. some dogs are confident and calm from day 1, while others will need more help. most puppies can be crate trained within two weeks. when you start crate training it is best to assume they will need more help and implement a gradual training program.. After a couple of weeks, try extending your alarm time forward by 5 minutes every couple of days. 6:35, then 6:40…etc. and so on until back to the time when you want to get up. if the above doesn’t work after 2 or 3 weeks, i would begin to train a ‘speak’ and ‘quiet’ command.. People can be way too general sometimes. you should "ever crate their dog longer than 2 or 3 hours" if the dog is only a couple months old. my rule of thumb is 1 hour for every month old they are up to 8 hours. 8 hours is as long as i would condone crating without a break..
It’s important to start crate training a puppy from the day you bring your puppy home, beginning as explained above. you will need a good crate training puppy schedule. in the first few days, you will have the dog crate by your bed at nights – closed – or (if possible) open only on the top so you can reach in to stroke your puppy when needed.. Here's how to easily crate train your dog. we all want a well-behaved dog that doesn’t tear things up and goes to the bathroom outside — and dog crate training is an important part of that.. According to your schedule, the puppy is crated for 16 hours a day. that's about 8-10 hours too many. either tether him to you while doing stuff around the house or get an x-pen so he can at least....
